Introduction:

In this section, we will continue practicing the distinctions among the sound patterns—non-aspirated, aspirated, and tensed. Your goal is to improve your pronunciation by focusing on these distinctions. Serious practice is necessary in order for you to achieve this goal.

Michael and Yǒng-mi

Michael:
chǒ-nǔn tǔng-sa-nǔl cho-a-hae-yo.
Yǒng-mi-ssi-nǔn ch'wi-mi-ga mwǒ-ye-yo?

Yǒng-mi:
chǒ-do tǔng-sa-nǔl cho-a-hae-yo.
kǔ-ri-go, yǒng-hwa-do cho-a-hae-yo.

Michael:
kǔk-tchang-e cha-ju ka-se-yo?
Yǒng-mi: ne, kǒ-ǔi mae-ju ka-yo.

 

Chi-sǒn:
Sǒng-min-ssi, chǒ-rǔl chom
to-wa-ju-si-ge-ssǒ-yo?

Sǒng-min:
ne, mu-sǔn i-ri-e-yo?

Chi-sǒn:
che no-t'ǔ-bu-gi tto ta-un-dae-ssǒ-yo.

Sǒng-min:
kǔ-rae-yo?
Chi-sǒn-ssi no-t'ǔ-bu-gi ǒ-di i-ssǒ-yo?
